What is a Community School?

By utilizing the school as the neighborhood hub, Community Schools convene community resources to remove barriers to student learning by identifying needs, cultivating relationships and aligning supports to promote healthy, vibrant families, schools and neighborhoods.

Services are targeted for each specific school and neighborhood, and may include educational, mental and physical health, social emotional learning, basic needs support, mentoring and community development for positive growth.
